Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD) is a communication book with symbols and words to support communication between people with diverse communication needs and their communication partners.
Designed by Gayle Porter, SLP, the book’s vocabulary is designed to support comprehension and expression. It can be modified to accommodate students with various physical and sensory needs.
PODD is one of many forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We use PODD frequently in our classrooms alongside other forms of AAC to facilitate communication and understanding .
